General Information


Vision: To foster an environment of fellowship and learning for those who live and breathe advertising.

Mission: Through networking, professional development and competition, assist Edmonton's advertising community to strive for excellence.

Structure: The Advertising Club of Edmonton is a non-profit organization that was established in 1977.  It's elected Board consists of 12 members and abides by the rules of The Societies Act of Alberta, being Chapter 347 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta, 1970 and as amended.

Goals:  The goals of the Advertising Club of Edmonton (as per the 1986 application to The Societies Act) are:

  • To promote greater effectiveness in the use of advertising.
  • To foster higher standards of practice in advertising and marketing.
  • To expand recognition of advertising as a profitable business tool.
  • To cultivate a better understanding of the economic and social value of advertising to the consuming public.
  • For the objects aforesaid, to buy, acquire, lease, let on hire, sell, manage, operate, maintain, dispose of or otherwise deal in and with real or personal property as may be required.

Support:  National Benevolent Advertising Society (NABS) www.nabs.org: Continued financial and professional support of The National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS).  NABS is the only charitable organization in Canada that provides assistance to advertising, media and related industry professionals, who may need help due to illness, injury, unemployment or financial difficulties.
