Reporting to the Manager, Sales - Alberta, this position consists of managing all facets of selling indoor advertising space, establishing long-term relationships with key personnel in both advertising agencies and with direct clients and providing the utmost in customer service.
•Maximizes sales according to the given objectives by making strategic presentations for innovative and creative advertising solutions to potential clients;
•Analyzes briefs and judiciously and efficiently utilizes internal resources to prepare documents and presentations;
•Develops and maintains strong business relationships with existing and potential clients and key decision makers in the advertising industry;
•Maximizes networking opportunities by continuously ensuring NEWAD’s presence at various industry events;
•Keeps abreast of industry and client trends, news and information;
•Participates actively in all sales meetings, brainstorm sessions and internal and external training seminars;
•Submits any information requested by the Manager, Sales - Alberta within set deadlines;
•Maintains a high level of organization with all computer files, paperwork documentation and reports.
Required Qualifications
•4-6 years experience in media sales and/or media planning
•Excellent relationships with an established contact network of contacts in the media industry (advertising agencies and/or direct clients)
•Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
•Excellent communicator (oral & written)
•Innovative and creative
•Ability to transform problems and challenges into solutions and opportunities
•Customer focused and results oriented
•Comfortable with initiating first contact with potential clients through cold calling
•Team player
•Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications
